Several C++ subroutine [子程序] that calculated the work roll [工作辊] bending [弯辊] [工作辊弯曲] for each pass [道次] were used to achieve slightly long centers. The bending [弯曲] subroutine [子程序] also calculated the adjustments [调整] of bending [弯曲] during the dynamic [动态] changes in the force [轧制力]. The level 1 approach to dynamic [动态] adjustments [调整] of bending [弯曲] during the pass [道次] was reviewed and corrected for problems of gain or response. Code to ramp the roll [轧辊] bending [弯辊] in level 1 on the head and tail to avoid reaching the upper [高端] limit of the roll [轧辊] bending [弯辊] and maintain [维护] good shape [形状] was also provided. The ramping of the roll [轧辊] bending [弯辊] for thermal changes in the crown [凸度] during the first 15 seconds of reversing pass [道次] was recommended [建议]. The centerline [中心线] gage [厚度] was often used to track the progress of the effect on the hook and camber [镰刀弯]. The operator [操作工] were trained to learn to setup and adjust the steering [手工调控] better.

This project is to reduce NISCO [南钢] plate [中板] mill head-end [头部] and tail-end [尾部] camber [镰刀弯]. When there is high error [误差] in the head-end [头部] or tail-end [尾部] force [轧制力] prediction [轧制力预报], the calculated initial [初始] roll [轧辊] gap [辊缝] will be inaccurate. AGC has to move in a big scope to adjust the roll [轧辊] gap [辊缝]. In this process, any weakness in the mill control and operation may trigger significant head-end [头部] and/or tail-end [尾部] defects [缺陷]. Therefore, the first attempt would be the force [轧制力] model [轧制力模型] Improvement [改进] in this aspect. In addition, based on the Parameter [参数] variation in the head-end [头部] and tail-end [尾部], thickness gradient [厚度梯度] will be created in the two ends, in order to achieve the equal thickness throughout the length. NISCO [南钢]^s Level 1 system [系统] from Siemens doesn^t have sufficient features for head-end [头部] and tail-end [尾部] to coordinate [坐标] with the Level 2 [二级系统], so both Level 1 and Level 2 [二级系统] should be improved.
